Gutter Cleaning
Cleared, flushed and flow-tested — gutters, box gutters, valleys and every downpipe, not just the easy runs at the front.
Most gutters in the Hunter don’t fail because they’re old. They fail because three seasons of spotted gum leaf, stringybark and roof grit has turned to compost in the base, held water against the steel, and quietly rusted the back seam out of it.
We work the full run — gutters, box gutters, valleys, and every downpipe — then flush the system and watch it drain before we pack up. If something isn’t flowing, you’ll know about it while we’re still on site.
Why it matters
A gutter full of dry leaf litter is an ember trap through summer and a dam through storm season. Clearing it protects your fascia, your ceilings, your foundations and your insurance position — and it’s the cheapest roof work you will ever pay for.

Water through every downpipe. Blockages get rodded on the spot.
Report and tidy
Photos of the roof, a note of anything worth watching, and the site swept clean.

Twice a year — after the spring leaf drop and again before storm season. Gums shed hardest when it’s dry.
Open block, few trees?
Once a year is usually plenty. We’ll tell you honestly if you don’t need us back that often.
Bushfire-prone address?
Clear before the season starts, not during it. Dry leaf in a gutter is the most common ignition point on a house.

Gutter Guard Installation
Stop paying for the same clean every year. Fitted properly, guard turns an annual job into a five-minute look.
We install powder-coated aluminium mesh, matched to your roof profile and colour, secured with the right fixings for your sheet or tile — not the universal kit that fits nothing well. The mesh sits on a slope so leaf and bark shed over the edge instead of sitting on top and rotting through.
Aluminium, not plastic. Plastic mesh in a Hunter summer goes brittle, cracks along the fold, and drops into the gutter it was supposed to protect.
Why it matters
Guard buys you three things at once: far less maintenance, a genuine ember barrier through fire season, and cleaner water into your tank if you’re on rainwater. It also stops birds and possums nesting in the gutter line.

Straight answers
No, and anyone who tells you that is selling. Guard stops the bulk load — leaf, bark, nesting material. Fine grit and broken-down organic matter still settles over time. Realistically you go from an annual clean to a check every three to five years.
It works better. Mesh keeps leaf, bird droppings and larger debris out of the system, so what reaches your first-flush device and tank is noticeably cleaner.
Yes. Tile needs a different fixing approach than sheet — the mesh is secured under the tile edge and along the gutter lip so it holds shape without lifting or cracking tiles.
We fit guard and panel bird proofing together all the time. Doing both in one visit is cheaper than two callouts and means the roof only gets walked once.
